Outing: Mike Schout Wetlands

Location:  28 Smith’s Creek Drive, New Hamburg, ON

Meeting Place:  Parking lot.   It is a bit odd, but the road into the parking lot is between two houses – there are signs. There is plenty of parking.

If the weather is too bad to be out, the alternate weather date is September 29.

A 1.6 km long raised boardwalk spanning multiple wetland ponds.  Over 20 acres of pollinator meadows.  Birdhouses, turtle nesting areas, Nith river, to name just a few attractions.  This is a great location for a long telephoto lens or wide angle to capture the vast landscape and winding boardwalk.
