Guest Speaker: Peter Hill

Direct from Katoomba, Australia, via Zoom, our guest speaker will be Peter Hill, an award winning black and white photographer.  Although many of his awards are in landscape and nature, he shoots in a wide range of genres including abstracts, street, architecture, portraits, etc.

 

Peter’s presentation will focus on aspects of black and white photography that are different from colour photography whilst you are shooting, i.e. getting it right in-camera. He will demonstrate his thoughts on shooting in B&W with examples by various photographers, including Ansel Adams, Wynn Bullock, and Max Dupain, and, of course, some of his own work.

 

If time permits he will also give a brief explanation of his processing techniques.
