Guest speaker: Jonathan Sau will present Astro Landscape Photography

Jonathan Sau is a fine art photographer based in Waterloo, Ontario. His photography work started back in the film days. Today his photographic interests are diverse, with a focus on natural and urban landscape, astrophotography, and floral and close-up.
In his presentation, Jonathan will cover the following:
- Different types of astrophotography targets and phenomena including the moon, eclipses, star trails, Milky Way, meteors, comets, and northern lights.
- Planning an astro shoot – tools, techniques, and knowledge of the night sky to make sure you’ll be at the right place, at the right time, and pointing at the right direction.
- Chasing the elusive aurora in southern Ontario.
- Equipment, accessories, and shooting techniques.
- Post-processing.
Jonathan is a board member of the GRIPS camera club in Kitchener, a member of the KW Chapter of Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, and a CAPA certified judge. He enjoys sharing his experience through workshops and critique groups.
