Before & After and CAPA Image Selection

In the above example, Tina extended the exposure time with a Neutral Density filter.

How did you enhance an image’s impact?  Techniques could include what you did in the field or what you did in processing the image.  Share with members your editing, camera techniques, composition, time of day, lighting, filters, processing technique, etc. that made the difference between your good before image and your improved after image.

We will also make the final selection of images for our group submission for the CAPA Open Competition.  (Images were submitted November 11th.)

Tentatively, we would like 3 to 5 image pairs per member.

For the digital images, please use the image standards that we use for digital competitions as these work best with our projector.

Submission of images:

File name: To simplify image projection,  please use the following naming convention.
ss-# [Before|After] [optional title] your name
where:
ss is the set number, from 01 to 05
# is 1 for the before image, 2 for the after image
Before|After clearly state if before or after image
title is optional
your name

For example, if Tina submits two pairs of images, her images would be named
01-1  Before Tina
01-2  After Tina
02-1 Before Tina
02-2 After Tina

1.  Submit your images online by 9 am Monday November 18th (remember to login first)      SUBMIT IMAGES HERE
2.  Bring your digital images on a USB stick and leave them with Tina at the podium.
3.  If bringing prints, let Tina know that you have prints.
   

If you are submitting images from a phone, we have directions on how to resize your image for an iOS phone [pdf].   For those using an Android phone, directions would be similar; you could use the 3rd party app Photo & Picture Resizer.
