DESCRIPTION:This year we will be participating in five CAPA (Canadian Association of Photographic Art) Competitions as a club.  For the last competition in the winter\, the Board has selected the Canada: My Country competition.  The club will select six images\, which must be from different photographers\, to represent the club. \nSubmit one digital image for consideration in the CAPA Canada: My Country Competition. \nSee CAPA Competitions under the Competitions menu tab for a brief description of the image themes\, image standards\, and file naming conventions.   This year\, Canada is divided into zones and the themes are: \n\nAtlantic Zone (New Brunswick\, Nova Scotia\, Newfoundland & Labrador & Prince Edward Island)\nPacific Zone (British Columbia & Yukon)\nPrairie Zone (Alberta\, Manitoba\, Saskatchewan & Northwest Territory)\nOntario Zone (includes Nunavut Territory)\nQuebec Zone\n \n\nSubmit images using this online form. SUMMARY:Highland Glen and Fergus Inter-Club Competition 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Highland Glen and Fergus Inter-Club Competition is a friendly competition with the Fergus & District Camera Club.  This year Fergus is hosting. The Fergus Camera Club meets in the fully accessible basement of the St. James Anglican Church\, with the entrance on the west side off the parking lot. There is an elevator to the lower level if required. \nDoors Open: 7:15 pm\nMeeting Start: 7:30 pm\nLights off for judging: 7:45 pm\nSnacks & refreshments to follow the judging while the results are being calculated. \nThere is limited parking in the church parking lot and on the south side of Queen Street across from the church. \nThere is additional parking close by behind the Municipal offices at 205 Queen St. to the east. There is also additional parking in the parking lot for the Fergus Marketplace on Queen St W.\nThe old Groves Hospital and parking lot is now closed and fenced off.

SUMMARY:Outing: McGowan Falls (cancelled)
DESCRIPTION:Scenic McGowan Falls is one of the highlights of the Durham Conservation Area.  The falls are set just below a small dam over which you can walk. The falls are low (3-4 m) and wide (12-15 m). \nDirections for the meetup point and time will be emailed to members who sign up for the outing.  This is a morning outing.
