DESCRIPTION:Influential Photographer: Man Ray\n“My works were designed to amuse\, annoy\, bewilder\, mystify and inspire reflection.” – Man Ray \nImage Share and Feedback:\n\nBring or submit up to 2 digital images or prints to tonight’s image share and/or feedback session.  Be prepared to tell us a little bit about your image.  If you would like feedback on your image\, please let us know. \nFor digital images\, please use the image standards that we use for digital competitions as these work best with our projector. \nYou can bring your images on a USB stick. Come early to load the images on the club’s computer for presentation.  Alternatively\, email all images to submissions@highlandglen.ca preferably by dinner time on Saturday March 4th but no later than dinner time on Sunday March 5th.  If you would like feedback on your images\, please include that information in your email. \nIf you are submitting images from a phone\, we have directions on how to resize your image for an iOS phone [pdf].   For those using an Android phone\, directions would be similar; you could use the 3rd party app Photo & Picture Resizer. \nHands-On: creative paper\, black glass\, and light box photography.\n

SUMMARY:Outing: Tundra Swans in Aylmer Ontario
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday March 8th OR Wednesday March 15th we will be heading to Aylmer\, Ontario to see the Tundra Swans. Donations accepted to provide feed for the birds. \nThousands of tundra swans use the Aylmer Wildlife Management Area to refuel on their migration to the high Arctic Region between Alaska and Baffin Island.  Each year it’s expected that 10-60 thousand birds will stopover in Aylmer during March. \nDetails will be available closer to the outing date. \n

SUMMARY:Fergus and Highland Glen Interclub Competition 2023 – Images due
DESCRIPTION:In 2019\, we started a friendly inter-club competition with the Fergus & District Camera Club as an annual spring event with Highland Glen and Fergus camera clubs alternating hosting duties for the competition.  Each club enters 30 digital images.  This is an open category competition\, so any subject\, processing technique\, etc. is accepted. \nThe competition is intended to be a showcase of the achievements of the club as a whole and not just a few members. HGCC members can submit up to three images for consideration. The club decides on the images to be submitted and strives to have at least one image from every submitter.\n \nDetails of the competition and image standard are posted here.\n \nSubmit images online at  SUBMIT HERE.
