DESCRIPTION:Building Confidence to Shoot Street\nMonique”s talk focuses on building the confidence to photograph on the streets for both beginners and experienced photographers. Her talk shows over 60 photographs from her start as a street photographer in 2016 to present. As part of the presentation several “before and after images” will demonstrate how she crops and edits her work. Many tips and tricks will be discussed with the audience that she hopes will inspire people to go out and shoot Street. \nWhat you will gain from this presentation:\n● Understanding the 3 P’s: Practice\, Perseverance and Passion\n● How to overcome fears of photographing people\n● Create themes to facilitate photographing\n● Use post production to enhance images\n● Learn how to approach people for street portraits \n

DESCRIPTION:Annual General Meeting\nAgenda to be circulated closer to meeting. \nPhoto Critique:\nMembers submit up to 2 images for critique. There will be a panel of members and/or guest to review images and provide constructive critique. \nImage share:\nShow up to 2 Morning theme images or photographer’s choice images. \nSubmission of images:\nOur regular image standards apply.  \n\nSubmit up to 2 images you would like critiqued. \n\n Submit up to 2 images you would like to share. \n\nEmail all images to submissions@highlandglen.ca preferably by dinner time on Sunday May 15th  but no later than 9am Monday May 16th.\nPlease indicate which images are for the critique vs the share.\n\n\nIf you are submitting images from a phone\, we have directions on how to resize your image for an iOS phone [pdf].   For those using an Android phone\, directions would be similar; you could use the 3rd party app Photo & Picture Resizer.
