SUMMARY:Member Night: Photographs I Took this Summer + Scavenger Hunt
DESCRIPTION:This is a multi-part members meeting. \n\nWe will start with membership renewals at the side table.  As this is proceeding\, please bring your summer images and scavenger hunt images to the front table so that they can be loaded on the laptop for the display.\nBrant will review our program for the 2018-2019 year.\nIt would be nice to see what everyone did during the summer.  Hopefully\, this will have included taking pictures that you would be willing to share with the club. Did you go somewhere interesting or did you see the familiar with new eyes?  Did you try out some new techniques?  You could create a short slide show presentation or submit a few digital images that we can display.\nWe are also running a photographic scavenger hunt this summer. Your scavenger hunt images can be submitted as a slide show presentation or as a set of digital images.  The scavenger hunt images should be separate from the summer images.\n\nBring your images on a USB stick. \n\nIf you are going to do a slide show\, there are a number of programs to do it. Many members use ProShow Gold or Lightroom and would export to video (.mp4 file).\nIf you are submitting individual images\, please use the image standards that we use for digital competitions as these work best with our projector.\n\nIf you are a new member joining us for the first time\, please bring images for display! \nHope you are having a great summer!!

SUMMARY:Grand Valley Image Battle: Photo Submission
DESCRIPTION:Submit up to three images (digital and/or print)  for the Grand Valley Image Battle (GVIB) to be held on Saturday November 3rd 2018. \nSee the description of the GVIB under Competitions for the image and print standards\, i.e. how to name your work and the correct size for images and prints.  If you need help in sizing your image\, Kevin is willing to help. \nMembers submitting prints should submit the digital version of the image by the submission date and tell Kevin in the accompanying email that a print will be submitted; otherwise\, it will be assumed that the images will be submitted as digital images. \nSubmit images to Kevin at submissions@highlandglen.ca .
